From March 2019 to June 2020, I had the privilege of being the first full-time design hire at User Interviews, a remote startup that revolutionized the process of recruiting, screening, scheduling, and rewarding participants for user research. The platform aimed to simplify the logistical challenges associated with user research, making it effortless for researchers to find and engage participants, while also providing a seamless experience for individuals interested in participating.

My role at User Interviews was pivotal in shaping the product and driving the company's growth. Working across three different time zones and collaborating with three product teams, I had the opportunity to design core features that played a significant role in securing the series A funding in March 2021.

One of the primary challenges we addressed was streamlining the logistics of user research. Finding and screening participants had traditionally been a cumbersome process, and scheduling and tracking incentives proved to be overwhelming for researchers. User Interviews aimed to simplify these tasks and make them more efficient. Additionally, we focused on enhancing the user experience for participants, ensuring that signing up, finding relevant studies, and applying to participate could be easily done from a phone or computer.

The core of my work at User Interviews revolved around the Research Hub product, which empowered product organizations and teams to build their pool of participants, fostering a more efficient and cost-effective user research process. Additionally, I iterated on and improved the core product, enabling researchers to seamlessly message, schedule, and reward research participants.
